The Project:
Working with D R Jones, Swift Groundworks were instructed to partially rebuild and repoint the cemetery’s western boundary stone wall
How we carried out the project:
Before commencing, we undertook a large scale site clearance which required grubbing out all tree roots and growth within 1 metre of both sides of the wall in addition to manually pulling off and disposing of, all the ivy from the entire length of the wall, a mere 110 metres!
We could then deconstruct the wall section, taking down approximately 55 metres ready to excavate then concrete the new footings. All waste from the wall deconstruction also disposed off as part of the Swift project.
